Product Description

Grassolind neutral are non-medicated paraffin gauze dressings for wound treatment.

Grassolind’s cotton gauze fabric impregnated with an anhydrous ointment consisting of:

White vaseline Diglycerol ester of mono-and dicarboxylic fatty acids Microcrystalline hydrocarbon wax The tulle’s open weave allows exudate to pass into a layer of absorbent dressing on top of it, so helping to avoid maceration. The ointment keeps the edges of the wound supple, promotes the formation of granulation tissue and epithelium and prevents the dressing from adhering to the wound. Dressings can be changed painlessly without irritating granulation tissue and new epithelium.

Indications Grassolind attended for general wound treatment, especially exudating surface wounds (e.g. abrasions, lacerations, gashes, burns, scalds, acid burns, covering donor and recipient sites in skin grafting, plastic and cosmetic surgery, nail removal, circumcisions, etc.). The neutral properties of the non-medicated ointment base make Grassolind particularly useful in dermatology and for patients with sensitive skin, or those sensitive to certain medicinal substances.

Information For Use Remove the paraffin gauze dressing from the sterile peel pack, keeping both backing papers in place. Cut it to the size of the wound if necessary. After removing one of the backing papers, place this side of the dressing on the wound and remove the other backing paper. It is recommended that a sterile absorbent dressing be placed over the paraffin gauze dressing to absorb wound exudate. Unless otherwise instructed by the doctor, replace Grassolind every time the dressing is changed.

Contents sterile unless peel pack is damaged.

Contraindications Do not use Grassolind on patients who may be allergic to any of its ingredients.
