The anti-static material inside the tube allows the aerosol to be suspended longer, giving you more time to inhale. Low resistance valves open freely, even under low flow rates from children, allowing you or your child to breathe easily through the chamber.

The is designed for use with all your commonly prescribed inhaler medications. spacer that fits between the metered dose inhaler and the mouth, making using the nebulizer easier and more effective. Metered dose inhalers usually require great dexterity to balance the pressure on the nebulizer and inhale the entire dose of medication. So, the holding chamber acts as a separator that keeps the spray coming out of the sprayer until it is completely inhaled by the patient.

This ensures that the patient takes the entire dose without losing any of it in the air, as sometimes happens when using the inhaler directly. The holding chamber comes in several sizes in proportion to age, to ensure proper fit with the patient’s mouth and complete comfort when using it.

How to use the Spacer Chamber:

  • Attach the holding chamber to your metered dose inhaler.
  • Put the holding chamber in your mouth and close your mouth tightly.
  • Press the sprayer to release the mist that contains the treatment.
  • Inhale vigorously through your mouth the spray inside the holding chamber.

  • Make sure to clean the holding chamber after use.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: (Single Patient Use Only)

  1. Look inside end of spacers for any objects.
  2. Remove the cap from MDI or SMI canister and place the mask connector over chamber’s mouthpiece until it fits securely.
  3. Insert MDI or SMI and shake well.
  4. Place the mask over your nose and mouth securely, exhale completely, press MDI or SMI immediately inhale slowly. Hold mask in place and breath in and out through the chamber for 5-6 breaths.
  5. Follow instructions supplied with the inhaler (MDI or SMI) on amount of time to wait before repeating steps 3-5 as prescribed.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Clean the spacer at least once a week by following steps: (Do not clean with boiling or hot water as this will damage your spacer)

  1. Remove the back piece and mask from the spacer.
  2. Soak all parts for 15 minutes in lukewarm water with liquid detergent (Agitate gently).
  3. Rinse in clean water.
  4. Shake out excess water. Do not rub dry.
  5. Let air dry in vertical position.
  6. Replace back piece when unit is completely dry and ready for use.

Tips:

Please use under doctor’s instruction. Do not leave the spacer unattended with children. It is recommended that the spacer should be replaced with a new one after one year of use.
This spacer is unsterilized. Patients with severe asthma and breathing difficulties should not use this spacer to inhale medication.

Storage: Seal, normal temperature and dry place preservation.
